A newer version, 0.9.36.2, is available. This release fixes a major PS1 SPU emulation regression present in 0.9.36. -- 0.9.36.1: -- June 22, 2014: Fixed a bug that could cause an assert() to trigger under certain circumstances when the scale2x/scale3x/scale4x special scaler is used with SNES emulation. PSX: Fixed a major SPU emulation regression in 0.9.36 that completely broke sample playback on a channel when the playback rate was set near the maximum. PSX: Fixed noise emulation playback frequency calculation(particularly for the lowest noise playback frequencies), per tests on a PS1. It's unlikely to have any audible effect on games, though. mednafen-0.9.36.1.tar.bz2 SHA1: 12ae2db927b406a61c60d44689dbcc325f0bdb61 mednafen-0.9.36.1-win32.zip SHA1: f8eb3c08d595326a1e29a0678acbc0e82a2b1b4d mednafen-0.9.36.1-win64.zip SHA1: 26765e8db1a16684848c70fee9b0114ec9371256 [Updated on: Fri, 14 November 2014 20:18]

There is still a known unfixed regression, introduced around 0.9.35, with CD-DA playback in NEC PC-FX(not PSX, skim-readers ) emulation that causes low-volume crackling in the CD-DA sound output. The issue will be fixed in 0.9.36.2, which should be released this upcoming weekend. [Updated on: Mon, 23 June 2014 10:10]
