Medafen v0.9.36.4 for Mac OS X [message #3706] Sat, 13 September 2014 13:01 Go to next message

Here is Mednafen v0.9.36.4 compiled for Mac OS X. I am as usual including the mednafen executable by itself in one zip file, and another wrapped into NekoLauncher.

The Nekolauncher is still at v0.9.36.2 build 34.

I sent a reply to the v0.9.36.3 thread before I noticed that you had compiled v0.9.36.4 for Mac OS X .

I appreciate the work that you're doing, but I'm actually having trouble getting it to work because of dependencies - specifically, libSDL isn't being found.

I wrote about it in this thread: http://forum.fobby.net/index.php?t=msg&th=1087&#msg_3653

Since then, I installed the libSDL runtime library from https://www.libsdl.org/download-1.2.php (SDL-1.2.15.dmg (Intel 10.5+)), but it hasn't changed the fact that there's still an error message that libSDL wasn't found.

Can you describe what prerequisites are expected on the target machine ?

Just as an update...

I've also tried with libSDL2 from the same libsdl.org site, also with no success.

It seems (from the error message at least), that it is looking for libSDL in a nonexistent location:
/usr/local/lib/libSDL-1.2.0.dylib

...There is no "/usr/" directory on a normal MacOS system; the library should be in /Libraries/FrameWorks or something like that.
