Yeah this still occurs in 38.7. You mean the lower part of the first square logo? I have never seen it emulated properly, when it fades out, there's a portion of the text looking weird. Probably since it's interlaced or something.

in Valkyrie Profile (NTSC-U): I'm noticing black flashes in the FMV before Lezard's Tower, the FMV where the camera pans around the building. Also there's a black flash in the first custscene with Lezard fleeing from the Elves right before his dialog shows up. Has anyone noticed this? Using the latest stable version on OS X. Cheers. ---false positive-- I have just tested it on a real PSX and this is happening on real HW as well, just looks very weird [Updated on: Sat, 30 January 2016 13:21]

One thing i've begun to notice in Chrono Cross (NTSC-U): During certain battles, the top-right window with action description "flashes" with texture glitches appearing every frame, it's kind of subtle - but visible once you start to focus on it, it seems like the background textures cause a certain pop-in effect. I'll see if this is happening on a real PSX, but I can't remember seeing before. Can anyone reproduce/notice the same thing?

[SLPM 80078] RayRay CD-ROM (Japan) -- if you watch any of the movies in the RayStorm section and then choose "exit" in the menu to exit to the RayStorm/RayTracers selection screen - freezes with the black screen. What's interesting is that Xebra has the same bug (black screen) and ePSXe 2.0 even crashes with "Endless DMA chain detected, breaking it" message. PCSXr and hpsx64, however, work fine.

Ballerburg - Castle Chaos (USA) - 2 Bug Reports Reproduced on 0.9.39.1 1. Black Screen after loading Campaign. [Unplayable - Critical] The game itself loads without problems, but when starting a campaign, the screen goes black and doesn't continue. This is reproducible every time. 2. Initial Loading Screens off-center / cut-off. When starting the game, you can see that the loading screens are pushed down resulting in pixels being cut off at the bottom. Barbie - Race & Ride (USA) - 1 Bug Report Reproduced on 0.9.39.1 1. Texture issue (black texture replacement). This occurs after doing the riding lesson and starting the Forest trail. At the beginning of the forest trail, you have to press Square to get off of the horse (the game notifies you). This is where the texture issue occurs. See attached screenshot.

Hello team mednafen! Crash Bash (USA) Recently the Crash Bash community was messing around with the memory which you can do by staring a game in adventure mode, entering the Save game screen and pressing Down+Left at the same time while you're hovering the letter "V" (bottom left corner). The issue is that console vs emulation pull different results on 2 specific inputs. Inputting "Oxide instant win": R, D, U, L, U, L, D, R, D, L, L, R, U, R, L, U, L, R, U, L, R, L, R, R, L, U, R, L, R, U, L, R, U, L, R, R, L, D, R, L, R, L, U, D, R, U, R, R, U, U, R, U, U, U, D, L, R, D, D, U, U, L, R, R, D, D, R, U, L, D, U, U, U, D, R, R, L, R, U This code is not meant to work which means it does crash on console, leaving a note being hung from the music. However on emulator the code goes through perfectly fine and this code is specifically used to go to the final boss Oxide and skip the entire battle. This other code "Instant Win v2" this one should crash when you attempt to save the game on console. On emulator however the save file gets corrupted, and you save warp into a stage. The code to input is this: R, D, U, L, U, L, D, R, D, L, L, R, U, R, L, U, L, R, U, L, R, R, L, R, L, U, R, L, R, U, L, R, U, L, R, R, L, D, R, L, R, L, U, D, R, U, R, R, U, U, R, U, R, U I hope this will help becoming the most accurate PlayStation emulator.

When you complete a level in the Japanese version of Rayman, instead of the level complete jingle stopping after it has played once, it continues to play in a loop until the next level is loaded. This is incorrect behaviour, and on console the jingle will only play once. I have verified that I am using a correct dump, as the disc hash is the same as that on redump.

[SLPS 00417] Racingroovy VS (Japan) -- after the BIOS it shows the Sammy logo, then it shows some rolling demo, then it goes into the main menu. On my SCPH-7000 console (KSM-440ADM drive, if important) the Sammy logo is shown for 15 seconds. Mednafen hangs there for exactly 47 seconds. Latest Xebra - 1 minute and 28 seconds. MAME just stops there. Why does it take so much longer compared to the console?

Version 0.9.46. Unfortunately, I didn't think to do anything more than take snapshots. I plan on playing through the EX game soon, so I'll make a save when I reach that point (the Museum is late in the game). Oddly enough, the bug didn't occur on the first scripted encounter with the pterodactyl, just most of the ones during random battles, with the exception of the last two or so that I encountered. Not sure if it's associated with the areas they spawned in, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't happen on real hardware. For what it's worth, I was using the goat OpenGL pixel shader with scanlines enabled (scanline opacity set to -5) with the goatron mask pattern. No special video scalers. My video card is a GeForce GTX 460.

If you select 2 players the black line is fixed, with 8 players it isn't. Duke Nukem: Total Meltdown Animated TV screen is glitched at certain angles, glitch happens the most when you crouch. Also music in this game doesn't loop at all, tracks don't even play to the end and just stop abruptly near the end. It is possible to restart playback by switching music off and on in the options, but it helps only once, second time it does nothing and the only way I found to make it play again is to make quicksave and game will restart playback. Another issue is quite weird. In the main menu going into options and changing sound mode from STEREO A to STEREO B changes the way music sounds but it will never sounds the same when you switch back to STEREO A, it feels as if music significantly lost its panning. Here is memory card file with save near that TV.

I finally got around to creating a save state for the aforementioned bug in Parasite Eve. In my previous post, I stated that the bug didn't occur on the first scripted encounter with the pterodactyl. That wasn't the case during my second playthrough, however. It's possibly random. This save state is just before the first scripted encounter. Just walk forward to trigger it. The bug occurs when the pterodactyl's blue orbs make contact with something. If the bug doesn't occur, there *should* be another pterodactyl encounter in the next hallway, and another in the room just beyond that. Those two encounters have the chance of being something other than a pterodactyl, so just reload the save state if that's the case. Some notes that may or may not matter: - Using Mednafen v0.9.48 - Game is being loaded with a M3U - The save state is during Disc 2
