I was wondering in terms of saturn ROM abbrevations, what are the meanings of "S" and "M". Now I know usually M stands for multilanguage but I seen this on games that never ever been released outside of japan and in itself also have only one language present.

So for example: Magic Knight Rayearth Gentaiban (1M)
Magic Knight Rayearth Gentaiban (3M)

And: Astal (1S)
Astal (3S)

What are the diffrences here and what exactly are those numbers implying?
