[Support] [Linux] [PSG Audio] Volume stuck at 100%, doesn't obey desktop volume setting [message #6822] | Sat, 07 January 2023 05:19

I don't know how to change the volume of the emulator as a whole. I've scoured the config files multiple times but I still couldn't find any options regarding audio besides audio volume on the PC Engine. Does anyone know why this is happening and how I can fix it? Software info: - OS: Arch linux // Zen Kernel (6.1.1-zen1-1-zen) - DE: XFCE4 - SH: zsh - Wednafen version: 1.31.0-UNSTABLE - Compled from Source: true, default config used - Audio Driver: pipewire, pipewire-alsa, pipewire-pulse, pipewire-jack Hardware info: - RAM: 3.7GiB - CPU: Intel Celeron N4020 (garbage I know) - Type: laptop - Model: DELL Chromebook 3100 (2020) [Fleex rev5/Gemini Lake] - [Running off of a 64GB USB 3.2 thumb drive because 16GB of storage is not enough.]

sound.volume adjusts the volume output of the emulator. Its at 100 by default. Can't blame you for missing it tho, mednafen.cfg is fucking massive. Its easier to look at the documentation to find stuff than the file itself. https://mednafen.github.io/documentation/ Its weird tho that you can't turn it down from the system volume, but I couldn't help you with that one. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ she/her Use my mednafen servers?
