FEDA 2: White Surge The Platoon Memory Card Loading Issue [message #6947] | Tue, 03 October 2023 18:21

When playing FEDA 2: White Surge The Platoon (PS1), once you get past the start screen, it goes to a memory card loading screen and doesn't proceed/load from there. (it works fine in ePSXe/Duckstation and progresses to the save data creation screen in that emulator) Here is the erroneous behavior in Mednafen and Bizhawk resulting in the game being "stuck": https://drive.google.com/file/d/1obzb2TQxo6kG9GXxqnXUyD79lLECYzhY/view?usp=sharing Here is the correct behavior in ePSXe/Duckstation: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1UkYf0qsvVds0HgN9okXIJv7GLdaDauTX/view?usp=sharing Does anyone know if there's anything that can be done to fix the issue? Please let me know if you have any questions as well. Thanks so much!

Looks like it might be a general CPU timing issue of some sort, probably won't be fixed for a while. As a workaround, disabling the emulated memory cards and using save states instead might work. Try placing the attached per-game configuration override file, renamed as necessary to match your copy of the game, in the "pgconfig" directory underneath the Mednafen base directory.
